Cattle Division Regulations

1. Entry Requirements: Every prospective competitor must submit to the Exhibition secretary an entry paper containing a correct list of the animals to be exhibited, giving the animal's name, registration number, date of birth, sire, owner's name, and 4-H member's name. Complete information is mandatory — false pedigree information results in forfeiture of all winnings and disciplinary action.
2. Livestock Control: No person shall allow their stock to run at large on the exhibition grounds. Violation incurs a $25.00 fine.
3. Conduct in Judging: Competitors cannot interfere with judges, attempt to influence committee decisions, or use contemptuous or abusive language. Violations result in forfeiture of any premiums earned.
4. Ring Access: No person shall be permitted in the judging ring except the judges, participants, or officials.
5. Protest Procedures: Written protests must be submitted within 24 hours and accompanied by a $25.00 deposit, which is forfeited if the protest is deemed frivolous.
6. Animal Identification: All animals required to be tattooed must be tattooed at least thirty days before the show. Dairy animals require NLID tags; beef animals require CCFA tags.
7. Health Requirements: Cattle showing evidence of active ringworm, mange, or pink eye will not be permitted on the exhibition grounds.
