CELEBRATING 150 YEARS AS CANADA

Weddings and other special occasions were often celebrated with Walnut Cake. These were affordable and had their own special flavour. Perfect with tea.

Your creation must be baked in a 8X8 square pan or funnel pan. No icing.

CAKES WILL BE JUDGED ON…

20% - appearance (nice brown)

20% - texture

20% - distribution of nuts

40% - taste (most important)

Put your skills to work and create our prize walnut cake. Cakes become the property of the Crapaud Exhibition. Winning cakes will be auctioned off. Remaining cakes will be shared with the public – sample pieces and whole cakes sold at set price.
